This thesis investigates the production and use of Accessible Digital Educational Objects (ADEOs) at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR), focusing on the inclusion of students with visual impairments in higher education. The barriers they face in accessing adapted educational materials are analyzed, highlighting the importance of ensuring inclusive education in an increasingly digitalized environment. The research uses a mixed methodological approach, combining surveys of teachers and evaluators from the Academic Accessibility Program staff, as well as interviews with students with visual impairments and inclusion experts. ADEOs are also analyzed based on accessibility and usability. It is evident that, despite advances in accessibility, challenges related to teachers' knowledge and training in inclusion issues persist. ADEOs and the UNR repository are presented as pioneering resources, but their use and visibility need to be expanded. The thesis proposes recommendations to improve the quality of ADEOs, encouraging interaction and validation by users, and increasing the availability of adapted resources. In conclusion, the investigation highlights the need for continued institutional commitment to promoting accessibility and inclusion in higher education.
