Imagen fotográfica: ¿una cuestión de límites?

Abstract

La imagen fotográfica está atravesada por diversos límites que rigen su función comunicacional y expresiva, además de su relación con la representación de aspectos de la realidad, los sujetos y la circulación del conocimiento. Este artículo reflexiona sobre la ruptura de límites formales, éticos y estéticos de la imagen fotográfica que modifican la percepción y el conocimiento de la realidad, y transforman el modo de concebir la Fotografía: de medio y fin en sí misma, a soporte que admite otros soportes de expresión y comunicación propios del Arte contemporáneo caracterizado por el mestizaje y la hibridación.Photography is crossed by different limits which rule the communicational and expressive functions of the image and its relationship with representation of reality, subjects and knowledge circulation. This article reflects on the formal, ethical and aesthetical limits and how, when they are broken, they modify the perception and the knowledge of reality and they transform the conception of Photography as medium and end in itself to be conceive as support that admits other expression and communication supports typical of Contemporary Art which is characterized by mixture and hybrid productions.
