| dc.description.abstract | El estudio discute la relación entre el contenido difundido por fake news y la Colonialidad del Poder. El objetivo es exponer la correlación entre ambos para brindar una mejor comprensión del fenómeno de las fake news. La investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa y tiene carácter bibliográfico. Aún con el auge tecnológico, es evidente que la tecnología por sí sola no causaría los impactos de las fake news, es posible identificar una historia sobre cómo el ideal de la eugenesia, el racismo, el machismo y el borrado histórico fueron instrumentalizados ideológicamente para crear justificaciones para la inferiorización de los grupos minoritarios en Brasil y que las noticias falsas son solo una herramienta más de este fenómeno. Se requieren nuevas estrategias en relación a los fenómenos, las prácticas encaminadas a combatir las fake news deben mostrar que la información, así como los recursos tecnológicos no son neutrales y, por tanto, es fundamental reconocer sus sesgos para que sea posible analizarlos críticamente. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The study discusses the relationship between the con-tent spread by fake news and the Coloniality of Power. The objective is to expose the correlation between both to provide a better understanding of the phenomenon of fake news. The research is qualitative in nature and has a bibliographic nature. Even with the technolo-gical boom, it is evident that technology alone would not cause the impacts of fake news, it is possible to identify a story about how the ideal of eugenics, racism, machismo and historical erasure were ideologically instrumentalized to create justifications for the inferiori-zation of minority groups in Brazil and that fake news is just one more tool of this phenomenon. New strategies are required in relation to the phenomena, practices aimed at combating fake news must show that informa-tion, as well as technological resources, are not neutral and, therefore, it is essential to recognize their biases so that it is possible to analyze them critically. | |
