Lo indecible en La Spiaggia

Abstract

En el presente trabajo nos proponemos realizar una breve lectura de La Spiaggia en torno al lenguaje y sus silencios. Primero, indagaremos en la relación entre el narrador y Doro, por un lado, observaremos cómo la imposibilidad de comunicarse tiene su origen en el pasaje a la adultez y el abandono del paisaje originario y por otro, analizaremos cómo la atracción homoerótica del narrador hacia Doro es inarticulable y queda en el lenguaje como efecto. En segundo lugar, indagaremos en la relación entre el narrador y Clelia, en la esterilidad de la comunicación del narrador con las mujeres y en lo ilegible que Doro se vuelve para ambos. In prima istanza, si indaga il legame tra il narratore e Doro: da un lato, come l'impossibilità comunicativa scaturisce dal passaggio all’età adulta e dal distacco dal paesaggio d'origine; dall'altro, come l'attrazione omoerotica del narratore verso Doro risulta inesprimibile, manifestandosi nel testo esclusivamente come effetto linguistico. In secondo luogo, l'analisi affronta il rapporto tra il narratore e Clelia, la sterilità del dialogo con l'universo femminile e l'imperscrutabilità che la figura di Doro finisce per assumere agli occhi di entrambi. First, it studies the relationship between the narrator and Doro, taking into account how their inability to communicate originates from coming of age and leaving their native landscape, and on the other hand, it studies the unutterable nature of the narrator’s homoerotic attraction to Doro, and how this attraction permeates language. Second, we examine the relationship between the narrator and Clelia, observing the barrenness of the narrator’s communication with women and how illegible Doro becomes for both characters.
