El presente artículo plantea el reconocimiento del pensamiento proporcional tanto cualitativo como cuantitativo del estudiante, a través de identificar las estrategias que se llevan a cabo al abordar las actividades planteadas a un grupo de 29 alumnos mexicanos (11 años de edad), que cursaban el sexto grado de educación básica. Se emplean como fundamentación teórica la Matemática en el Contexto de las Ciencias y estudios realizados por investigadores que se han interesado en estos tópicos. La metodología está integrada por el diseño de las actividades, la descripción de los indicadores para la identificación de ambos tipos de pensamiento proporcional y el análisis de los resultados.
The present paper shows development of the proportional qualitative thinking and proportional qualitative thinking of the student, through activities applied to a group of Mexican students (11 years old), that were studying the sixth grade of primary education. Using as framework Mathematics in the Science Context theory and other theoretical support studies done by researchers that had been interested in this topics. The methodology is integratedby the design of the activities, indicators description and the analysis of the results gotten in the activities.
