Descripción
La World Literaturesupone la circulación de obras y textos de creación, de géneros y estilos, de propuestas estéticas. Supone también, por ello, centros y administradores de la actividad de traducción, más allá de los debates filosóficos, lingüísticos y políticos acerca dela regulación hegemónica de estos intercambios. No obstante, se atiende poco —salvo entre Estados Unidos de América y Europa—a la traducción del pensamiento y la teoría que ha acompañado la creación literaria en los ámbitos latinoamericanos. Este ensayo pone en relación los ritmos norteamericanos y latinoamericanos de la traducción de la teoría europea (antropología, psicoanálisis o crítica cultural) y señala sus concomitancias o diferencias.
World Literatureinvolves the circulation of creative works and texts, genres and styles, of aesthetic proposals. In consequence, it also involves centersand administrators of translation, beyond philosophical, linguistic, and political debates regarding the hegemonic regulation of those exchanges. Notwithstanding, little attention is given —except between the United States of America and Europe—to the translation of thought and theory that have accompanied literary creation in Latin American spaces. This essay shows tensions in North and Latin American rhythms regarding the translation of European theory (Anthropology, Psychoanalysis, or Cultural Criticism), and points out their concomitances or differences.
