| dc.description.abstract | En las primeras décadas del siglo XX, las mujeres que se encontraban domiciliadas en los Territorios Nacionales estuvieron movilizadas a favor de los derechos políticos femeninos, pero es necesario contribuir a conocer con precisión el proceso y los hitos relevantes en relación con el mismo. El artículo se estructura en 3 apartados: en el primero se abordan las características de la zona bajo estudio en términos político-administrativos y socioeconómicos. El segundo remite a las características de la intervención pública de las mujeres. Finalmente, se abordan las luchas por el sufragio femenino. El período abordado comienza en 1901 -con la fundación de Comodoro Rivadavia y concluye en 1927, cuando el municipio fue intervenido, desapareció el concejo municipal y no hubo elecciones hasta 1932. Este momento de cierre político, coincide con la demanda de derechos políticos de las mujeres que, desde la fundación de la ciudad, habían ido ganando terreno en distintas actividades. La hipótesis es que las mujeres se organizaron políticamente y con todos los medios y capital político a su disposición para efectivizarlos. Sin embargo, fracasaron en virtud de la profunda desestabilidad de la vida municipal durante el período, lo cual derivó en la orientación hacia la beneficencia de las prácticas de las mujeres de las comunidades mineras. | |
| dc.description.abstract | n the early decades of the 20th century, women residing inthe National Territories were movilized in favor of women ́s political rights, but it is necessary to contribute to precisely understanding the process and the relevant milestones related to it.The article is divided into three sections: the first addresses the political-administrative and socioeconomic characteristics of the area under study. The second focuses on the nature of women’s public participation, and the third examines the struggle for women's suffrage. The period covered begins in 1901,with the founding of Comodoro Rivadavia, and ends in 1927, when the municipality was intervened, the municipal council dissolved, and elections were suspended until 1932. This political closure coincides with women’s demands for political rights, reflecting how women had gradually gained ground in various activities since the city's founding.The hypothesis is that women organized politically and used all the means and political capital at their disposal to realize their rights. However, they ultimately failed due to the significant instability of municipal life during that period, which led women in mining communities to focus their activities on charitable efforts instead. | |
