O artigo visa analisar os trabalhos vencedores do Prêmio Adelmo Genro Filho na categoria Iniciação Científica e levantar o perfil das/dos ganhadoras/es. Considerando que a premiação reconhece pesquisas que contribuem para o campo do Jornalismo e valoriza a atuação das/os pesquisadoras/es, nos interessa identificar aspectos que representam a iniciação científica e graduação. Utilizamos a Análise de Conteúdo para categorizar os 23 trabalhos que receberam prêmio principal e menção honrosa na categoria em questão, entre 2010 e 2020. Para delimitar o perfil de quem venceu, aplicamos um questionário. Os resultados indicam que a abordagem qualitativa e a análise de conteúdo predominam na metodologia, com destaque para os jornais tradicionais como objeto de estudo. Entre as/os ganhadoras/es, quem participava de grupo de pesquisa e/ou foi bolsista de iniciação científica tende a ingressar mais na pós-graduação.
The article aims to analyze the winning works of the Adelmo Genro Filho Award in the Scientific Initiation categor y and raise the profile of the winners. Considering that the award recognizes research that contributes to the Journalism field and values the work of researchers, we are interested in identifying aspects that represent scientific initiation and graduation. We used Content Analysis to categorize the 23 works that received the main award and honorable mention in the categor y in question, between 2010 and 2020. To define the profile of who won, we applied a questionnaire. The results indicate that the qualitative approach and content analysis predominate in the methodology, with emphasis on traditional newspapers as the object of study. Among the winners, those who participated in a research group and/or received a scientific initiation scholarship tend to enter more into graduate studies.
