En Tire dié (1960), el primer documental del legendario Instituto de Cinematografía
de la Universidad del Litoral, el director argentino Fernando Birri desarrolla varios procedimientos
y técnicas que crean una objetividad casi fotográfica, un nuevo perspectivismo
fílmico y, al mismo tiempo, un universalismo icónico. Mediante esas innovaciones, Birri
evoca una representatividad de la temática social que trasciende el caso concreto. Los tres
niveles están estrechamente vinculados con el tema del ferrocarril y se analizarán a partir
de las puestas en escena del medio de transporte.
In Tire dié (1960), the first documentary film to come out of the legendary Instituto de Cinematografía de la Universidad del Litoral, the Argentinian director Fernando Birri develops cinematic processes and techniques that not only create a quasi-photographic objectivity of representation and an innovative filmic perspectivism. They also conjure up a pictorial universalism which suggests that the socio-critical themes of the film move beyond their specific context. Within the film, these three levels are closely linked to the topos of the train and will be examined based on how this medium of transportation is staged and enacted throughout.
