Resumen
Este escrito se centra en la vida y en la obra pedagógica de una librepensadora cuyo período de actuación pública fue el de la “Organización Nacional” del país, hacia fines del siglo XIX. Se trata de Juana Manso, una educacionista que influenció a las primeras generaciones de maestras normales y que obró a favor de la educación mixta y de la coeducación; una amiga y colaboradora del ideario pedagógico de Sarmiento que, además, fue precursora del feminismo y de la emancipación civil y subjetiva de las mujeres.
This paper focuses on the life and educational work of freethinking whose period of public action was the "National Organization" of the country, the late nineteenth century. This is Juana Manso an educationist who influenced the first generation of normal teachers and acted in favor of coeducation and coeducation; a friend and collaborator of pedagogical ideas of Sarmiento who also was a precursor of feminism and civil and subjective emancipation of women.
