A través de la revisión y el análisis de los idearios desarrollados por Severo Sarduy y Bolívar Echeverría en torno a lo barroco, así como de la teoría concebida por Johan Huizingasobre el juego y su importancia en el suceder social y cultural humano, este ensayo pretende establecer vínculos entre esta tríade de autores. Su objetivo principal es realizar una breve aproximación a una propuesta teórica desde la cual lo barroco trasciende el ámbito del arte y su cariz estético para irrumpir con fiereza en la vida cotidiana, para convertirse en un barroco subversivo y de resistencia, un barroco lúdico que, del arte y la literatura, deviene en crítica social y propone alternativas para vivir un mundo otro en la actual modernidad capitalista.
This article reviews and analyzesthe ideology developed by Severo Sarduy and Bolívar Echeverríaaround the baroque and the theory conceived by Johan Huizinga about the game and its importance in human social and cultural occurrences. The essay linksthis triad of authors in an effort to make a brief reference to a theoretical proposition from which the baroque transcends the scope of art and aesthetics to break fiercely intoeveryday life, to become a subversive and resistantbaroque, a playful baroque that, from art and literature, becomessocial criticism and proposesalternatives for another way to live in today's capitalist modernity.
