El presente estudio se propone analizar las variaciones del cuento “La excavación” propuestas por Augusto Roa Bastos en dos diferentes publicaciones del mismo. El objetivo es delinear la evolución estilística que acompaña el compromiso ético del autor paraguayo con el acto literario y evidenciar el uso de la “poética de las variaciones” como recurso retórico que involucra toda la narrativa roabastiana.
This article purposes an analysis on the semantic variations that can be found in two different editions of Roa Bastos’ short story La excavación. The aim is to point out the stylistic evolution that characterize the ethic commitment the Roa Bastos always had with the literary act and the use of the “poética de las variaciones” as a figure of speech evident in all of his works and important to understand the real meaning of his ideas.
