This chapter analyzes series of photographs from family albums that the "memoria completa" organization CELTyV deploys in its political intervention, appropriating and reworking the visual representation matrix of the disappeared. Drawing from a visual archive made up of photographs from the book Los Otros Muertosby Carlos Manfroni and Victoria Villarruel (2014), images from a video presented at the Buenos Aires legislature in September 2023, and he organization's posts on the social network Instagram since 2023, the work explores these profusely narrated photographs as an affective technology that constructs "civilian victims of terrorism in Argentina in the seventies." In its visual strategy, CELTyV mirrors, in its own way, the familism of the human rights movement and constructs victims who are "irrefutably civilian," gendered with non-military masculinities, within frames that decontextualize and depoliticize the political violence of the recent past.
