Este trabajo se propone reflexionar acerca de las estrategias de autofiguración a las que Alan Pauls apela para intervenir su material autobiográfico en La vida descalzo(2006). Un recorrido por su obra da cuenta de la relación intermitente y gradual que su narrativa entabla con su historia personal, siendo La vida descalzoel texto que mediante fabulaciones de su infancia, fotografías del anaquel familiar y recuerdos de juventud, afianza en mayor grado el vínculo entre literatura y vida. Nuestra hipótesis sostiene que al momento de incorporar lo autobiográfico a la superficie de la escritura Pauls opera según una impostura en vistas de proyectarse en lo público. Este dispositivo de autofiguración, que desactiva todo acercamiento hacia lo íntimo, se proclama deudor de las formulaciones de Roland Barthes.
The aim of this paper is to considerthe strategies of autofiguration to which Alan Pauls appeals to intervene his autobiographical material in La vida descalzo(2006). A close look at his work shows the intermittent and gradual relationship between his narrative program and personal history, being La vida descalzothe text that through fables of his childhood, photographs of the family album and memories of youth, reinforces the link between literature and life. The hypothesis sustains that at the time Pauls incorporates autobiographical elements within his texts he does so in a misleading way in order to be considered in a specific way by the public eye.This apparatusof autofiguration, which deactivates all approach to the intimate, proclaims indebted to the formulations of Roland Barthes.
