| dc.description | Concebir y traer al mundo un nuevo ser, es un hecho biológico; convertirlo en el ideal y rol exclusivo de las mujeres es cultural. La definición socializadora sobre la maternidad, es el resultado de una construcción cultural que, si bien ha evolucionado y se ha transformado, no pierde de vista discursos, prácticas y significados que intentan establecer una dimensión totalizadora para las mujeres, minimizando las posibilidades de incluir las diferencias propias con respecto a lo que se puede ser y desear. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar posturas teóricas feministas respecto a la concepción de la maternidad como rol exclusivo de las mujeres, a la luz de los elementos considerados por Raymond Williams necesarios para comprender un fenómeno cultural en su complejidad: lo dominante, lo residual y lo emergente; buscando identificar cual es el elemento dominante presente en los discursos sobre la maternidad como experiencia ineludible para las mujeres, qué se mantiene de lo residual y qué se vislumbra como emergente hacia nuevas retóricas y significados. Todo dentro de un marco de posturas feministas que deconstruyen la concepción de la maternidad como principal carácter de identidad femenina. | es |
| dc.description | Conceiving and bringing to the world a new human being is a biological fact; making it the ideal and exclusive role of women is cultural. The socializing definition of motherhood is the result of a cultural construction that, although it has evolved and transformed, does not lose sight of discourses, practices and meanings that try to establish a totalizing dimension for women, minimizing the possibilities of including the own differences with respect to what one can be and desire. The objective ofthis article is to analyze feminist theoretical positions regarding the conception of motherhood as the exclusive role of women, in light of the elements considered by Raymond Williams necessary to understand a complex cultural phenomenon: the dominant, the residual and the emerging; seeking to identify which is the dominant element present in the discourse about motherhood as an inescapable experience for the women’s, by the historical evolution, what remains of the residual and what is seen as emerging, for new rhetoric’s and meanings. All within a framework of feminist positions that deconstruct the conception of motherhood as the main character of female identity. | es |
