Descripción
La violencia en las escuelas es una
problemática que ha adquirido en la
actualidad una creciente visibilidad.
La importancia de la misma radica
en los efectos que tiene sobre los
individuos implicados la experiencia
de participar en estas situaciones. En
el Instituto Rosario de Investigaciones
en Ciencias de la Educación se realizó
en el año 2008 un estudio vinculado
a las representaciones de docentes y
alumnos sobre las manifestaciones de
violencia en una escuela del centro de la
ciudad de Rosario. El artículo expone los
principales resultados de dicho trabajo.
Entre ellos se destacan la relevancia
de las relaciones entre pares que
mantienen los alumnos para explicar su
participación en situaciones de violencia;
y la divergencia en las concepciones de
docentes y alumnos sobre la frecuencia y
causas de las discusiones que mantienen
ambos grupos
Violence in schools is a problem that currently has been acquiring increasing relevance. The importance of this subject lies in the effects that participating in these situations has on the persons involved. In “Instituto Rosario de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Educación” a research about the representations of teachers and students about the manifestation of violence in the school has been carried out. This article exposes the most relevant results of this work. Within them we emphasize the importance of the relations among students to explain their participation in situations involving violence; and the differences between students and teachers in the way they characterize the frequency and causes of the arguments they maintain between each other
