El análisis de la creciente amenaza que diferentes factores de riesgo representan para el cumplimiento de los propósitos educativos de la escuela en la actualidad, constituye el punto de partida del presente artículo, en cuyo desarrollo se revelan las características e importancia de los denominados factores protectores, que han de colocarse en el centro de la acción educativa a fin de evitar o disminuir el impacto de los referidos factores de riesgo.
En ese contexto se subrayan las características personales y profesionales del docente y se insiste en la importancia del establecimiento, mantenimiento y desarrollo de la relación familia escuela, destacándose el papel de las escuelas de padres como una de las vías para el logro y el perfeccionamiento de las competencias de los padres y de las madres para asumir, con mayor nivel de acierto, la educación de sus hijos.
The analysis of the growing threat that represent different risk factors for meeting the educational purposes of the school at present, is the starting point of this article, in whose development the characteristics and importance of so-called protective factors are revealed, to be placed in the center of educational action to prevent or lessen the impact of the afore mentioned risk factors. In this context the personal and professional characteristics of teachers are underlined and emphasized the importance of establishing, maintaining and developing the school family relationship, highlighting the role of school’s parents as one of the way to achievement and improvement of skills of fathers and mothers to take, with the highest level of success, education of their children.
