| dc.description.abstract | Horacio es el poeta latino que empleó todos los metros heredados de la poesía griega recreándolos con variantes propias rítmicas, métricas, prosódicas, modalidades conversacionales, etc., pero nunca el dístico elegíaco (hexámetro y pentámetro) por apartarse deliberadamente de los rasgos propios de la elegía con su idealización de la amada. Su visión realista configuró otro canon amoroso; sin embargo, los motivos elegíacos no le son ajenos. En su obra inicial, Yambos o Epodos, muestra su prodigiosa habilidad para combinar amor y acerbitas, con una armonía adecuada, creación propia, el metro yámbico heredado de Arquíloco con la mitad del pentámetro con dos variantes: el elegiyambo y el yambiélego en los epodos 11 y 13, sin omitir otras creaciones en dísticos de su propia inventiva. Este libro presenta en germen lo que desplegará en las Odas y demás poemarios. Los Yambos como germen exigen una continuidad en la poética posterior y esta, a su vez, se comprende mejor retornando a su ADN primerizo. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Horace is the Latin poet who used all the meters inherited from Greek poetry, recreating them with his own rhythmic variants, metric, prosodic, conversational modalities, etc., but never the elegiac distich (hexameter and pentameter) for deliberately departing from the features of elegy with its idealization of the beloved. His realistic vision configured another love canon; however elegiac motifs are not alien to him. In his initial work, Iambi or Epodes, he shows his prodigious ability to combine amor and acerbitas, with an adequate harmony, his own creation, the iambic meter inherited from Archilochus with half the pentameter with two variants: the elegiaciambus and the iambielegiac in epods 11 and 13, without omitting other distichic creations of his own inventiveness. This book presents in embryonic form what he will unfold in the Odes and other poetry collections. The Iambi potentially demand a continuity in later poetics and this in turn is better understood by returning to their first DNA. | |
