Se indaga la importancia que tienen en la obra de MacedonioFernández (1874-1952) la improvisacióny sobre todo el comienzo, señalando ejemplos provenientes de la novela y de textos filosóficos. Se interpreta esa importancia en el contexto de ciertas tensiones existentes entre romanticismo y clasicismo, especialmente en el orden musical. Finalmente, se señalan pistas que pueden ayudar a entender la relación de Macedonio Fernández con la música, con ocasión de lo cual se citan y glosan por primera vez tres cartas inédiditas sobre el tema.
We explore the importance of improvisationand especially that of beginningsin the work of Macedonio Fernández(1874-1952) pointing out examples from novels and philosophical texts. Said importance is interpreted in the context of certain tensions between romanticism and classicism, particularly in the music field. Finally, we provide some clues to help understandthe relationship of Macedonio Fernández with music. In this regard, three unpublished letters on the subject are quoted and analyzed for the first time.
