Abstract
This Final Engineering Project addresses the design of a mobile aggregate classifier for asphalt plants, with the aim of improving the granulometric homogeneity of the material. The diagnosis revealed that aggregates from quarries present size variations that lead to dosing deviations, increased laboratory intervention, and reduced quality in asphalt mixtures. The project proposes the development of an autonomous and mobile equipment capable of processing a flow rate of 100 t/h, matching the loading rate of excavators. The system incorporates a vibrating screen that enables separation into multiple particle sizes, optimizing the classification process. The design considers real operating conditions such as abrasion, vibrations, and dust presence, incorporating wear-resistant materials.
