En Argentina con la sanción de la Ley Nacional de Educación
N° 26.206 en el año 2006, las provincias tuvieron que modificar
su legislación jurisdiccional. La provincia de Salta inició
en octubre de 2008 la modificación del marco normativo con
la sanción de la ley provincial N° 7.546. En este marco, uno
de los aspectos más controvertidos de la nueva ley, implicaba
la ratificación de la enseñanza religiosa en las escuelas
salteñas.
La ley de educación provincial sostiene la enseña religiosa en
escuelas primarias públicas desde finales de la década del
70. Si bien la Ley de Educación Nacional sostiene la laicidad
educativa, Salta se mantiene al margen, continuando prácticas
instaladas a lo largo de su historia en materia educativa.
Nuestro trabajo analiza este debate, sobre religión y laicidad,
a través de la visión de los principales medios de comunicación
salteña, y cómo estos medios reflejaron los distintos
posicionamientos, poniendo en el centro del debate la educación
religiosa católica.
Fuentes como El Tribuno, El Nuevo Diario, El intransigente.com,
Informatesalta.com.ar, Salta libre, y la selección de notas de
estos diarios en su versión on line, permiten pensar el rol de
los medios al señalar el cruce de intereses en materia educativa.
In Argentina with the sanction of the National Education Law No. 26,206 in 2006, the provinces had to modify its law courts. Salta Province beginning in october 2008 the modification of the regulatory framework with the enactment of provincial law No. 7,546.In this context, one of the most controversial aspects of the new law, implied ratification of religious education in schools Salta. Provincial education law holds religious teaching public elementary schools since the late 70’s. While national education law holds educational secularism, Salta stands aside, continuing installed practices throughout its history in education. Our paper examines this debate on religion and secularism, through the vision of the mainstream media Salta, and how these media reflected the different positions, and at the heart of Catholic religious education discussion. Sources such as The Tribune, El Nuevo Diario, El intransigente.com, Informatesalta.com.ar, Salta free, and the selection of these daily notes in the version on line, allow us to think the role of the media at the crossing point of interest in education.
