La presente ponencia tiene como objetivo dar cuenta acerca de los diferentes espacios habitados por parte de la población esclava, presente en la ciudad de San Miguel de Tucumán durante momentos tempranos del periodo colonial .Dicho trabajo
se llevó a cabo a partir de un análisis documental en donde se revisaron todos aquellos documentos que pudieran brindar información e indicios acerca de nuestro
tema de estudio. De esta manera, y a partir de la información recaudada en los documentos trabajados, (testamentos, inventarios de bienes, escrituras de compraventa de esclavos, cartas de dote, entre otros), fue posible identificar y ubicar algunos
de los lugares de viviendas ,trabajo y de interacción social de los esclavos africanos
que habitaron la ciudad permitiéndonos así aportar datos acerca de la vida cotidiana
y el desarrollo que tuvieron los mismos durante principios del periodo colonial.
This paper aims to identify the different spaces inhabited by the slave population present in the city of San Miguel of Tucumán during early colonial times. The documentary analysis consisted in the study of all the documents that could give any information or clues about this research problem. Based on the information recovered in the documentation (testaments, goods inventories, deeds of purchase and sell of slaves, letters of marriage dowry, among others), it was possible to identify and localize some of the living, working and social interaction places of the African slaves that lived in the city. This gave us data about the daily life and development of this population during the beginning of the colonial period.
