Inteligencia artificial y aceleración social : una lectura crítica a través de la propuesta de Hartmut Rosa

Abstract

A partir de una lectura de la teoría de la aceleración social de Hartmut Rosa, este ensayo aborda la relación entre la propuesta del autor frankfurteanoy los desarrollos actuales de la inteligencia artificial.La conjetura orientadora de este trabajo es que los sistemas de inteligencia artificial, entendidos como sistemas sociotécnicos complejos, no solo se inscriben en los procesos de aceleración, sino que los intensifican, los reconfiguran y los condensan. En este sentido, proponemos interpretarlos como una suerte de meta tecnología de la aceleración, un dispositivo que articula simultáneamente las tres categorías con las que Rosa distingue los procesos de aceleración social: la aceleración tecnológica, la aceleración del cambio social y la aceleración del ritmo de vida,produciendo efectos estructurales, institucionales y subjetivos de largo alcance.Starting from a reading of Hartmut Rosa’s theory of social acceleration, this essay addresses the relationship between the Frankfurt School author’s proposal and current developments in artificial intelligence. The guiding conjecture of this work is that artificial intelligence systems, understood as complex sociotechnical systems, are not only embedded within processes of acceleration, but also intensify, reconfigure, and condense them. In this sense, we propose to interpret them as a kind of meta-technology of acceleration: a device that simultaneously articulates the three categories through which Rosa distinguishes the processes of social acceleration—technological acceleration, the acceleration of social change, and the acceleration of the pace of life—thus producing far-reaching structural, institutional, and subjective effects.
