Urbanismo y arquitectura en la construcción del territorio del turismo en el Litoral Marítimo Bonaerense: La Villa Díaz Vélez en planos y proyectos

La Villa Díaz Vélez en la costa de Necochea constituye un caso oportuno para estudiar el aporte de las ideas disciplinares de la arquitectura y el urbanismo a la construcción del territorio turístico en la primer mitad del siglo XX. Se parte del supuesto que la franja costera operó como papel en blanco, sobre el que se pensaron, proyectaron y a veces construyeron una serie de ensayos de estrategias económicas y profesionales que articulan ideas disciplinares, con las demandas socio-culturales en distintos escenarios políticos. Es entonces en el cruce de esas perspectivas donde deberán interpretarse los distintos planos y proyectos. Algunos de esos proyectos urbanísticos, y la documentación gráfica de la arquitectura de ramblas y hoteles constituyen el corpus de análisis. Finalmente, se hará evidente cómo se han articulado en la construcción del territorio del turismo las iniciativas privadas con el accionar estatal.
The Villa Díaz Vélez in the coast of Necochea offered a good opportunity to study the contribution of disciplinary ideas in architecture and urbanism to the construction of the touristic territory in the first half of the twentieth century. We base our research on the assumption that the coastal strip worked as a blank sheet of paper on which there were thought, projected and sometimes built a series of attempts to develop economic and professional strategies that relate disciplinary ideas with socio-cultural demands in different political scenarios. It is then in the convergence of these perspectives where the different plans and projects will have to be interpreted. Some of these town maps – graphic and/or photographic documents of the architecture of boulevards and hotels – and urbanizing projects for the Villa Díaz Vélez constitute the corpus of analysis. Finally, the study of this case clearly shows the combination of private sector initiatives with State action in the construction of the touristic territory.
