This is a qualitative study whose purpose was to expose the dynamics inherent to the human, political and cultural scenarios, typical of the South American social context, consequent to the emergence and resurgence of left and center-left political ideologies, in a boiling, controversial and jaded contemporary South America. It was supported by a documentary design, with a hermeneutic-dialectical method and documentary technique. With the completion of the investigative procedure, it was possible to recognize that, during the last two decades, the South American region has been debated between the diaspora, social transformations, human movements, social inequality and the indisputable opposition to the institutional estates of the past, which has generated great rejection of traditional political stereotypes. Thus, it could be concluded that whoever does or aspires to do politics in the American periphery is urged to satisfy the demands of his Nation, promote and safeguard the interests of his State and exercise his magistracy in accordance with the unconventional sociopolitical dynamics, assuming a resilient leadership, which has achieved great repercussions today.
