Alkylhalovinylboranes presented higher reactivity than the corresponding dialkylvinylboranes. Although endo/exo selectivities were high for the reactions with cyclopentadiene, facial selectivities for the chiral analogues were low. Our results demonstrate that the replacement of an alkyl group on the boron atom by a halogen increases the dienophilicity considerably.Ítem Acceso Abierto An integrated approach to the simultaneous selection of variables, mathematical pre-processing and calibration samples in partial least-squares multivariate calibration(Elsevier, 2013-07-01) Allegrini, Franco; Olivieri, Alejandro CésarÍtem Acceso Abierto Analytical figures of merit : from univariate to multi-way calibration(American Chemical Society, 2014-03-19) Olivieri, Alejandro CésarÍtem Acceso Abierto Assembling Amperometric Biosensors for Clinical Diagnostics(2008-02) Belluzo, María Soledad; Ribone, María Élida; Lagier, Claudia MarinaClinical diagnosis and disease prevention routinely require the assessment ofspecies determined by chemical analysis. Biosensor technology offers several benefits overconventional diagnostic analysis. They include simplicity of use, specificity for the targetanalyte, speed to arise to a result, capability for continuous monitoring and multiplexing, together with the potentiality of coupling to low-cost, portable instrumentation. This workfocuses on the basic lines of decisions when designing electron-transfer-based biosensorsfor clinical analysis, with emphasis on the strategies currently used to improve the deviceperformance, the present status of amperometric electrodes for biomedicine, and the trendsand challenges envisaged for the near future.Ítem Acceso Abierto Characterization of sildenafil citrate tablets of different sources by near infrared chemical imaging and chemometric tools(Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2013-11) Poppi, Ronei Jesus; Sabin, Guilherme Post; Lozano, Valeria Antonella; Fortunato de Carvalho Rocha, Werickson; Ortiz, Rafael; Romão, WandersonÍtem Embargo Characterization of the hydrochloride salt hemihydrate as a new salt of the antifungal agent tioconazole(Elsevier, 2023-03-14) Moroni, Aldana Beatriz; Pérez Mayoral, Elena; Lionello, Diego Fernando; Vega, Daniel Roberto; Kaufman, Teodoro Saúl; Calvo, Natalia LorenaTioconazole is an effective antifungal agent, which has a very low solubility in aqueous media, that limits its bioavailability and efficacy. In an effort to overcome the drug limitations by improving its solubility, the hydrochloride salt was prepared in methanolic 1 M HCl and obtained as the hemihydrate, as demonstrated by elemental analysis. Single crystals were grown by slow evaporation from an aqueous 1 M HCl solution and their structure was determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 302 K. The structures resulting from dehydration and further rehydration were also assessed, at 333 and 283 K, respectively. The morphology of the crystal, which exhibited birefringence under polarized light, was verified by hot stage microscopy. The solid was characterized by additional means, including thermal analysis (melting point, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry), spectroscopic methods (mid infrared, near infrared, 1H, 13C and 15N nuclear magnetic resonance in solution, as well as 13C and 15N solid state with spinning at the magic angle) and X-ray diffraction techniques. Functional evaluation tests, including the intrinsic dissolution rate and the dissolution of powders were also performed. In the intrinsic dissolution rate test, the salt proved to dissolve over 2000 times faster than tioconazole. The results suggest that the new salt has physicochemical and performance properties which may support its use as a replacement of the free base in certain applications, especially where improved dissolution rate, solubility or bioavailability of the drug would be desired.Ítem Acceso Abierto Chemometric modeling of organic contaminant sources in surface waters of a mediterranean river basin (Catalonia) district(Royal Society of Chemistry, 2013-11-25) García Reiriz, Alejandro Gabriel; Olivieri, Alejandro César; Teixidó, Elisabeth; Ginebreda, Antoni; Tauler, RomàÍtem Acceso Abierto Chemometric processing of second-order liquid chromatographic data with UV-visible and fluorescence detection : A comparison of multivariate curve resolution and parallel factor analysis 2(Elsevier, 2014-09-09) Bortolato, Santiago Andrés; Olivieri, Alejandro CésarÍtem Acceso Abierto Chemometrics-assisted cyclodextrin–enhanced excitation–emission fluorescence spectroscopy for the simultaneous green determination of bisphenol A and nonylphenol in plastics(Elsevier, 2015-10-01) Pellegrino Vidal, Rocío Belén; Ibañez, Gabriela Alejandra; Escandar, Graciela MónicaÍtem Acceso Abierto Chemometrics-assisted excitation–emission fluorescence spectroscopy on nylon-attached rotating disks.
