El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el rol geopolítico actual de la República del Paraguay, específicamente en la dinámica de relaciones del cono sur. Puesto que el siglo XIX constituye el contexto de formación del Estado paraguayo y como, al mismo tiempo, representa el contexto de génesis de su rol geopolítico, a efectos de tener una visión más acabada del mencionado objetivo se repasa previamente tal período histórico
The aim of this paper is to analyze the current geopolitical role of the Republic of Paraguay, specifically in the dynamics of relationships in the Southern Cone. Due to the nineteenth century is the context of formation of the Paraguayan State as at the same time, it represents the context of genesis of its geopolitical role, in order to have a more complete view of the above objective is reviewed this historical period.
