El artículo tiene por objetivo analizar las distintas expresiones de la represión ejercida por la dictadura cívico-militar encabezada por el general Augusto Pinochet en contra de los trabajadores y sus organizaciones, considerando a tales efectos, las políticas diseñadas por los órganos encargados de la legislación laboral, incluyendo entre estas la Dirección del Trabajo y el Ministerio del Trabajo. De esta forma, la dictadura tuvo una orientación antisindical destinada a consolidar la aceptación del modelo neoliberal en la población a través del miedo o la resignación, a pesar de los costos sociales de la aplicación de él mismo, que implicaron un deterioro de las condiciones de vida de amplias capas de la sociedad.
The article aims to analyze the different expressions of the repression exerted by the civic-military dictatorship headed by General Augusto Pinochet against the workers and their organizations, considering for this purpose, the policies designed by the bodies responsible for labor legislation , including among them the Labor Directorate and the Ministry of Labor. In this way, the dictatorship had an anti-union orientation aimed at consolidating the acceptance of the neoliberal model in the population through fear or resignation, despite the social costs of applying it, which implied a deterioration of the conditions of life of broad layers of society.
