Fridl Loos fue una diseñadora austriaca que, luego de llegar al país con su marido escapando del fascismo en Europa, tomó como fuente de inspiración para sus prendas las formas y materiales propios de las culturas antiguas del norte argentino. En el país, ella y su marido- el arquitecto Walter Loos-, se relacionaron con el grupo de artistas abstractos que marcaron un hito en los años '40 y sus diseños claramente revelan esa filiación.
