En la primera mitad de 1974 las divergencias al interior de Montoneros desembocaron en laformación de grupos disidentes. El presente artículo explora la escisión producida en losprimeros meses de 1974 en una de sus organizaciones de superficie, la Regional II de laJuventud Peronista, circunscribiendo el análisis a la ciudad de Santa Fe. Se consideran fuentes periodísticas y militantes y un corpus testimonial, conformado éste último por textosautobiográficos y entrevistas a ex dirigentes y ex militantes juveniles. Se contemplan los aspectos del proceso político que contribuyeron a un progresivo aislamiento de la Juventud Peronista y las tensiones que desembocaron en la formación de grupos disidentes. También se abordan los efectos de dicha escisión en la militancia montonera, así como posibles afinidades y vínculos con la disidencia representada por la Juventud Peronista Lealtad. El análisis de los testimonios se orienta a indagar las interpretaciones de la situación, las consecuencias que la ruptura trajo aparejadas en términos grupales e individuales y las significaciones construidas sobre esa experiencia.
Divergences within Montoneros led to the formation of dissident groups in the first half of 1974. This article explores the split produced in one of their organizations, Juventud Peronista Regional II, by restricting the analysis to Santa Fe city. Journalistic and militant sources are considered, also a corpus made up of autobiographical texts and interviews with former leaders and youth activists. The article analyzes aspects of the political process that contributed to a progressive isolation of Juventud Peronista and the tensions that led to the formation of dissident groups. It also approaches the effects of the split in the militancy, as well as possible affinities and links with the dissidence represented by Juventud Peronista Lealtad. The analysis of the testimonies is aimed to investigate the interpretations of the situation, the breakdown consequences in group and individual terms and the meanings about that experience.
