En el presente trabajo nos proponemos una aproximación a la construcción del poder político vigente en la provincia de San Luis desde 1983, indagando en los mecanismos de producción y reproducción simbólica que consolidan su hegemonía. El interrogante que guía este artículo es ¿dónde encuentra sus fuentes de legitimación el poder local y cómo las utiliza? En este sentido, nuestra preocupación se centra en los usos del pasado que hace el bloque dominante puntano, la imagen que construye sobre éste y el tipo de identidad que desde allí impulsa. Presentamos en las siguientes páginas un primer acercamiento a la temática de la identidad y su relación con la memoria a través de la denominada “puntanidad”.
In this paper we aim to approach the topic of political power construction in effect in the province of San Luis since 1983, examining the mechanisms of production and symbolic reproduction that consolidate its hegemony. The question that guides this article is: where does local power find its sources of legitimacy and how does it use them? In this sense, our concern is focused on the uses of the past that the Puntano dominant block makes, the image of it that it builds and the type of identity it drives from there. In the following pages we present a first approach to the theme of identity and its relationship with memory through the so-called “puntanidad”.
