Las Relaciones Internacionales se han nutrido de otras disciplinas para conformarse como tal: entre éstas, la Historia. Sin embargo, se ha reflexionado poco sobre los aportes y las transformaciones que la disciplina histórica ha atravesado al conformarse como sub-disciplina de las Relaciones Internacionales. El presente ensayo se propone reflexionar sobre las características epistemológicas de la Historia, y sus transformaciones, hasta la conformación con sus particularidades propias, diferente tanto a la historia tradicional o diplomática como de la historia internacional: específicamente como Historia de las Relaciones Internacionales.
International Relations have been taken from other disciplines to conform itself as such: among them, history. However, it has not been reflected upon contributions and transformations that the historical discipline has gone through to be part of International Relations. This essay proposes to reflect on the epistemological characteristics of history, and its transformations, to its conformation with its own characteristics, different from both the traditional history and international history: specifically as History of International Relations.
