Este artículo trata de encarar una cuestión teórica que tiene profundas implicancias prácticas (políticas). Trataremos de mostrar la utilidad de la categoría de análisis “imperialismo” dentro del marco teórico del materialismo histórico para referirse a los fenómenos de concentración y centralización del capital, de generalización de las reglas del juego capitalista en su máxima expresión histórica alcanzada a nivel planetario, y particularmente cómo se expresan estos fenómenos en Argentina actual. Pondremos en el banquillo de los acusados el concepto de “globalización” (¿lo reemplaza?, ¿son sinónimos?). Trataremos de analizar desde qué intereses resulta útil el concepto de “globalización” tan en boga entre las esferas de “lo científico” y lo “político”.
This article attempts to address a theoretical question that has profound practical (political) implications. We will try to show the usefulness of the category of analysis "imperialism" within the theoretical framework of historical materialism to refer to the phenomena of concentration and centralization of capital, of generalization of the rules of the capitalist game in its maximum historical expression reached on a planetary level, and particularly how these phenomena are expressed in Argentina today. We will put the concept of "globalization" on the dock (does it replace it? Are they synonymous?). We will try to analyze from which interests the concept of "globalization" so in vogue among the spheres of "the scientific" and the "political" is useful.
