So pretexto del Centenario de la Revolución Rusa se analiza el acontecimiento que marcó históricamente el siglo XX en su contexto, la evolución de la Unión Soviética -críticamente- hasta su disolución en 1991, su impacto internacional y el interés actual de Octubre para la izquierda y los movimientos sociales del siglo XXI, a sabiendas del cambio de las condiciones históricas. Sin hurtar el testimonio del autor, parte de la última generación joven influida por la Revolución de 1917 en los aledaños de 1968.
The Russian Revolution, at its centenary, will be analyzed in context as one of the events which defined the 20th century – along with a critical reflection on the evolution of the Soviet Union up until its dissolution in 1991, its international impact and the current interest in the October Revolution for the left and the social movements of the 21st century, taking into account the change in historical conditions. The author’s own testimony, himself being a member of the last generation of young people influenced by the 1917 revolution at around 1968, will be presented as well.
