Antes del Bicentenario Argentino de 1810, en el 2009 celebraron sus primeras revoluciones en América del Sur, el Alto Perú; hoy Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, y Quito en la actual República de Ecuador. Esta nota hace un recorrido histórico de tales acontecimientos, destacando el papel de las grandes ausentes de la Historia como fueron las mujeres. América Latina comienza a celebrar los bicentenarios de la Revolución por la Independencia a la par que viviendo nuevos procesos históricos.
Before the 1810 Argentine Bicentennial in 2009, other countries celebrated their first revolutions in South America, the Alto Peru – Plurinational State of Bolivia today, and Quito in the current Republic of Ecuador. This article covers the historical path of such events, emphasizing the role of women, the very absentees of History. Latin America starts to celebrate the bicentennials of the Independence Revolution while experiencing new historical processes.
