Utilizando una metodología cualitativa longitudinal vinculamos la teoría analítica de las generaciones elaborada por Ortega y Gasset (1923 1939) y la memoria urbana, para re- construir narrativas basadas en las experiencias de vida de los habitantes de Nueva Cara- cas (en Catia, Caracas), tomando como referencia la generación precursora, aquella que permitió cambios decisivos en la instalación del sistema de vigencias en Venezuela para 1936
Through the longitudinal qualitative methodology, we link the analytical theoryofgen-erations elaborated by Ortega y Gasset (19231939) and urban memory, to reconstruct narratives based on the life experiences of Nueva Caracas’s settlers (inCatia,Caracas), taking as reference to the precursor generation, the one that made decisive changes in the installation of the Venezuelan validity systemsince1936
