Desde mediados del siglo XX, Río Cuarto experimentó un boom cultural que se manifestó en la proliferación de centros destinados a su divulgación y promoción. En ellos se reunió la intelectualidad de la época, quienes desarrollaron una labor en pos de la construcción de lugares habilitantes para la producción cultural. Uno de los centros fue la revista Trapalanda. Esta editorial publicada en la década de 1950, reunió a hombres provenientes de diferentes áreas del conocimiento con el objetivo común de instaurar lugares para la producción cultural que permitiera posicionar a Río Cuarto como centro de difusión. La existencia de este proyecto nos permite entender a estos actores como una generación intelectual, quienes desarrollaron una política de la cultura que aspiraba a garantizar el sostenimiento de las artes por parte del Estado
From the middle of the 20th century, Río Cuarto experienced a cultural boom that manifested itself in the proliferation of centers for its dissemination and promotion. In them the intelligentsia of the time met, who developed a work in pursuit of the construction of places that enabled cultural production. One of the centers was the magazine Trapalanda.
