Descripción
La Arqueología Histórica, como especialidad de la Arqueología, aborda a las sociedades
del pasado a partir de la articulación de la evidencia de la cultura material y las
narrativas escritas. A partir del análisis desde la Arqueología Documental de los casos
registrados en la sección Juzgado del Crimen del Archivo Histórico de la Provincia de
Buenos Aires en el período 1810-1854 para Magdalena (Bs. As.), se brinda una propuesta
de análisis en donde se pone en juego una forma de abordaje de la materialidad a partir de
los documentos, combinando dos planos de indagación: la materialidad de los documentos
que circularon en el pasado, configurando ciertas prácticas de apropiación y uso de la
palabra escrita y la materialidad referida en el contenido de las narrativas analizadas. De
esta forma, se aborda y reflexiona acerca de los documentos en cuanto a su forma y contenido.

From the analysis as per Documentary Archaeology of the cases recorded in the Criminal Court of History Records of Buenos Aires during the years 1810-1854 in Magdalena (Buenos Aires), we propose an analysis that approaches materiality from documents, combining two levels of investigation -the materiality of the documents that circulated in the past, which determine the practices of appropriation and use of the written word, and the materiality referred to in the content of the analysed narratives. In this way, documents are approached and analysed in terms of their form and content.
