En el presente trabajo se dan a conocer los resultados de las excavaciones sistemáticas
realizadas en el sitio Los Bananos, ubicado en un albardón costero del borde frontal de la
terraza baja, perteneciente a la llanura aluvial del sector medio del río Paraná (departamento
Goya, Corrientes, Argentina). El objetivo del mismo es presentar los resultados preliminares
del análisis del material cerámico, lítico y faunístico, recuperado en el sector donde se excavó
hasta el nivel arqueológicamente estéril. La evaluación de la distribución, frecuencia, asociación
del material recuperado junto con el estado de las variables relevadas permitió generar
una serie de expectativas vinculadas con la ocupación de este albardón costero, postulando
futuras líneas de trabajo en relación con las mismas.
In the present paper, the results of the systematic excavations of Los Bananos sites, located in an albardón on the shoreline area of the Middle Parana alluvial plain (Corrientes, Argentina) are presented.The aim is to present the preliminary results of the analysis of ceramic, lithic and faunal remains, recovered in the area excavated down to a sterile level (without cultural materials). The assessment of the distribution and frequency of the recovered materials along with other results, allowed generating new hypotheses related to the occupation of this albardón, suggesting some further analyses in connection therewith.
