Presidentes y vocales del Consejo General de Educación de Jujuy (1883-1920): análisis de sus trayectorias

Abstract

En este artículo analizaremos las trayectorias de los presidentes y vocales que fueron designados en la Comisión Central de Educación y el posterior Consejo General de Educación de la provincia de Jujuy entre los años 1883-1920. Concretamente, presentaremos un estudio de diez presidentes y diecinueve vocales relevando las siguientes dimensiones: lugar de nacimiento y relación con la élite urbana de la ciudad de Jujuy; institución en la que estudiaron y titulación adquirida; experiencia previa, y estabilidad promedio de sus gestiones. Pretendemos mostrar que las trayectorias presentan variaciones en el origen y en la titulación de los funcionarios a lo largo de tres etapas cronológicamente ordenadas.In this article we will analyze the trajectories of the presidents and members who were appointed in the Central Education Commission and the subsequent General Council of Education of the province of Jujuy between the years 1883-1920. Specifically, we will present a study of ten presidents and nineteen members revealing the following dimensions: place of birth and relationship with the urban elite of the city of Jujuy; institution in which they studied and degree acquired; previous experience, and average stability of their management. We intend to show that the trajectories present variations in the origin and degree of the officials along three chronologically ordered stages.
