Desde el novedoso y reciente paradigma del análisis microhistórico de
las “redes sociales” –que supera tanto el tradicional análisis de las
“familias” como a la aproximación simplemente prosopográfica-, este
ensayo intenta explicar el rol esencial desempeñado por los oficiales de
finanzas de la Nueva España en los siglos XVII y XVIII, así como las
transformaciones complejas sufridas por ese mismo estrato en el
entramado global de la curva de esa mismas historia novohispana.
From the recent, novel paradigm of the micro-historical analysis of "social networks", an improvement on both the traditional analysis of "families" and the purely prosopographic approach, this essay attempts to explain the essential role played by finance officers of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries New Spain, as well as the complex transformations undergone by the same stratum in the overall framework of this curve of the history of New Spain.
