En este artículo planteo algunas ideas sobre la Sordera como forma de Otredad: Argumento que la construcción de todo objeto de conocimiento implica una relación de alteridad entre lo propio y lo ajeno; señalo que cuestionar el sentido adquirido de los sujetos y objetos de la realidad es responsabilidad ética del investigador social; reflexiono sobre la Sordera como construcción social y problematizo a la Escuela especial (CAM, en México) como generadora de discapacidad; apunto algunas relaciones entre Sordera y formas simbólicas de monstruosidad; concluyo advirtiendo peligros de radicalizar posturas de indiferenciación y negación de la Otredad.
This article presents ideas on Deafness as a form of Otherness: I argue that the construction of any object of knowledge implies an otherness relation-ship between self and others; I point that think about the acquired sense from the subjects and objects of reality is an ethical responsibility of social resear-cher; I reflect on Deafness as a social construct and I question to the Special School (CAM, in Mexico) as a generator of disability; I highlight relationships between Deafness and some symbolic forms of monstrosity; I conclude with an warning: radicalize positions of undifferentiation and denial of Otherness is dangerous.
