A partir de un estudio de
los agônes cuasi-judiciales entre los
demagogos-sicofantas y sus adversarios,
el propósito de este trabajo es aportar
nuevas reflexiones en torno de la
polémica intertextualidad de Maricante
de Éupolis y Caballeros de Aristófanes.
Las acusaciones de traición y plagio, a
la luz de la disputa entre novedad y
repetición, muestran que la
comediografía antigua utilizaba
metafóricamente sus tramas para
reflejar en muchos casos los altercados
poéticos y las tensiones metacómicas.
On the basis of a study dealing with quasi-judicial agônes between demagogues-sycophants and their adversaries, the purpose of this paper is to provide new reflections on the problematic intertextuality between Eupolis’ Marikas and Aristophanes’ Knights in the late fifth century BCE. Accusations of treason and plagiarism, examined through the lens of the dispute between novelty and repetition, indicate that Old Comedy used its plots metaphorically in order to mirror poetic altercations and metacomic tensions.
