La creación de la revista constituyó un paso decisivo en el itinerario intelectual de sus miembros y un gran esfuerzo de autorevisión identitaria. Esfuerzo que los apartó del partido y los condujo a enfrentar los límites más radicales de la matriz epistémica moderna en una titánica tarea cuya magnitud no deja de sorprender. Proponiendo una “historia de las ideas” en clave filosófica y dejando de lado enfoques más contextualistas, el trabajo apunta a repensar los límites intelectuales, epistemológicos y políticos de la primera experiencia de la revista entre 1963 y 1965.The following article intents to make up the numerous theoretical points of view that allow Past and Present´s men to adapt the marxist orthodox perspective of the Communist Argentine Party. The creation of the magazine was an important step in the intellectual´s itinerary of its members and a big effort to revise their identity. That effort separeted them from the party and carried them to bring face to face with the more radical limits of the modern epistemic´s matrix in a difficult work wich will not let to surprise.
