Metallurgical companies traditionally are considered a masculinized field. In this article we go another way, reconstructing the stories and memories of some of the women who worked there. In terms of sources, we developed a systematic register of newspapers and journalistic publications in the region, as well as a survey of governmental and business archives. However, in order to review this gender dimension of the labor collective, it was essential to build other archives that would make it possible to hear the voice of those who had been made invisible by the previous approaches. For this purpose, oral sources were developed through interviews with women who worked in ALUAR. Their testimonies became the essential input to understand the main characteristics of their working careers, and the differences experienced with respect to their male colleagues.1-31esopenAccessGéneroTrabajadorasClases socialesPuerto MadrynLas mujeres trabajadoras de ALUAR (Puerto Madryn, Chubut) : un acercamiento a sus historias y memorias (1974-2018)articuloAutor y Facultad de Ciencia Política y Relaciones InternacionalesAttribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International You are free to: Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
