2020-05-122020-05-122017-06-302469-0732http://hdl.handle.net/2133/18119En el presente artículo se proponen analizar los roles y posturas que adoptaron la Iglesia Católica y el Partido Radical en Entre Ríos en el periodo entre 1914 y 1933. Los objetivos que perseguían se fundamentan en diversos intereses: por un lado evitar el avance de los criterios liberales postulados por el partido gobernante y que serían plasmados en la Constitución provincial, y por otro, establecer y reformar con criterios modernos la carta provincial. Los medios de comunicación, en especial los diarios, se convirtieron en órganos de difusión, y fueron los encargados la transmisión de sus ideas e instalar en la opinión pública, y principalmente en sus adeptos, sendos discursos a favor o en contra de los acontecimientos en el plano político. La reacción de la Iglesia católica se enmarca en un proceso de expansión y organización interna de la mano de un intento de consolidación en el escenario político, pero a la vez de defensa frente a los embates del Partido Radical. La reforma constitucional provincial es el telón de fondo que permite identificar la forma en que las estrategias de la iglesia se emplearon para mantener su lugar como un actor de peso en la sociedad entrerriana.In this article, we intend to analyze the roles and positions adopted by the Catholic Church and the Radical Party in Entre Rios between 1914 and 1933. The goals both parties pursued were based on different interests: on the one hand, avoid the consolidation of the liberal criteria postulated by the ruling party and that would have been incorporated into the provincial constitution, on the other hand, establishing and reforming the provincial constitution with modern criteria. The media, especially newspapers, became organs of dissemination. They were responsible for promoting the transmission of their ideas and installing both discourses (for or against the events in the political level) in the public opinion and in their followers. The reaction of the Catholic Church belongs to a process of expansion and internal organization that goes along with a consolidation attempt in the political scenery, at the same time that it is a defense against the attacks from the Radical Party.
