The present work will seek to reconstruct those expressions of the popular technical imagination in Argentina during the first peronismo, specifically referred to the relationship between science, technique and national territory. At a time when this relationship was being re-signified in the public discourse due to government policies of infrastructure, industrialization and exploration of the national territory, the popular classes appropriated these problems and offered original and new perspectives on them. Many of these testimonies found a channel of expression through the policy of epistolary exchange established by Perón’s government (1946-1955). These letters, in dialogue with the public discourses of propaganda, advertisement, press and fiction, will form the documental basis of this analysis. Sent to the national administration from every province and national territory with ideas, claims and projects to be included in government plans, these initiatives express new conceptions on the activities of popular inventors, the place of rurality in the process of modernization and the directing role of the State in the exploration, exploitation and transformation of the territory.application/pdf124-150spaopenAccessTerritorioTécnicaPeronismoArgentinaHistoriaTerritoryTechniqueTerritorio, Estado e imaginación técnica popular en la Argentina del primer peronismoTerritory, State and popular technical imagination during Argentina’s first peronismoarticleAutor y ESE.
