No sólo los socialistas, los radicales y los agricultores nucleados en la Federación Agraria hicieron oír su voz en este sentido, sino que incluso buena parte de la dirigencia conservadora y los ganaderos nucleados en la recientemente creada CARBAP adoptaron este discurso. Es más, varios gobiernos provinciales y el gobierno nacional fueron avanzando en la creación de instituciones y legislación tendientes a promover la colonización, proteger a los arrendatarios y medieros y subdividir a los grandes latifundios. En este trabajo se analizan las trasformaciones discursivas y las políticas adoptadas por estos gobiernos (que, en líneas generales, tuvieron un impacto muy reducido), así como el giro en intensidad que significó la llegada de los militares al gobierno y, en particular, del coronel Perón, y la reacción de la Sociedad Rural Argentina frente a estas medidas.In Argentina, since the mid-thirties was growing in importance an agrarian confrontative discourse, centred on the critique to the latifundio. This discourse subsumed the moralizing and the anti-industrialism variants of the traditional agrarism. Not only the Socialists, the Radicals and the farmers nucleated in the Federación Agraria made hear their voice in this respect, but even much of the conservative leaders and ranchers nucleated in the recently created CARBAP adopted this speech. Even more, several provincial governments and the national government made progress in building institutions and legislation to promote settlement, to protect tenants and sharecroppers and to divide the latifundios.
