2021-04-152021-04-152018-070719-8256http://hdl.handle.net/2133/20509El presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la postura de Argentina en relación al programa de reducción de emisiones provenientes de la deforestación y degradación forestal (REDD+), construido por las Partes de la Convención Marco de Naciones Unidas sobre Cambio Climático (CMNUCC). REDD+ busca incentivar a los países en desarrollo participantes a reducir sus emisiones de GEI provenientes del sector forestal mediante la vehiculización de flujos económicos. El mecanismo aborda 5 actividades de gestión y posee diversos elementos en constante evolución y revisión por las Partes de CMNUCC. Argentina, país que viene sufriendo de forma constante la problemática de la deforestación, se encuentra hace 10 años en la primera fase de vinculación con REDD+ (fase de preparación). Este hecho se debe fundamentalmente a las idas y venidas en su posición frente al mecanismo, dinámica que no escapa a los vaivenes en las posiciones climáticas externas de Argentina, con periodos de mayor y menor interés hacia la temática.The objective of this article is to analyze Argentina's position regarding the Program to Reduce Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD +), built by the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). REDD + seeks to encourage participating developing countries to reduce their GHG emissions from the forestry sector by channeling economic flows. The mechanism addresses 5 management activities and has various elements that are constantly evolving and reviewed by the Parties to the UNFCCC. Argentina has been suffering from the problem of deforestation for more than a century, has been in the first phase of linking with REDD + (preparation) for more than 10 years.
