La autoconciencia fenicia puede reconstruirse en algunos textos griegos, latinos y a través de inscripciones que se analizan en el artículo.The paper analyses the problem of the ethnical identity of wester Phoenicians from a critical position towards the modern historiographical tradition, which is based in the anti-Carthaginian propaganda of the Roman historiography rather than the view sustained by the Greek historiography and the perception that the Phoenicians had of themselves.
